From September 2010 legal powers to search pupils and students will be extended to search without consent for drugs, alcohol, stolen goods and other prohibited items in addition to weapons.

Screening and Searching Techniques
This is the only 'Searching Pupils and Students ' Course which is fully acccredited and certificated by 'Skills for Security' who are the skills and standards setting body for the security industry in the UK.
Skills for Security are the body recommended by the Department for Education for finding training providers who are competent and capable to deliver this type of training.

Security searches conducted by well trained people are a vital resource for protecting
a company's assets and its' people, clients and visitors.
Meeting the Threat from Terrorism -
(5 hours) - Covering the threat from IED's, terrorism, a strategic overview of security search, and how to respond to a find.
Statistics for 2008 - 2009 reveal more than 160 gun incidents in schools. Overall there were more than 22,000 gun-related incidents of which more than 800 involved children 16 and under.

Planning for an intruder in a business or educational setting focuses on the growing threat to from an armed intruder entering your premises.
Prevent, Prepare, Respond and Recover .......
This one day workshop and table top exercise will examine the procedures and outcomes in response to a hostile intruder on your premises.

This is a one day course for those who find themselves in a situation at work where they need to protect themselves from aggression and violence. This training will assist employers and employees to fulfil their responsibilities under Health and Safety Law.
