CEO Peter Smith is a former senior police officer and is highly knowledgeable in the area of specialist search for unlawful and prohibited items having commanded the leading UK police specialist search and security training centre.
He has practical management experience in site and major event security, and has been an advisor on specialist search and security measures, and training to several UK police forces and overseas governments. As a leading authority on 'Search', he has recently been part of the expert group to determine the National Occupational Standards for Security Search Operations with Skills for Security.
Peter has a Degree and Diploma in Criminology and has a PGCE in Teaching in Higher Education and has recently written BTEC modules on Security in Public Services for Edexcel and is a Skills for Justice Lead Skillsmark Reviewer.
Status Training Services are a Security Consultant to the Association of Colleges ( AoC ) and its members, advising on strategic security policies and solutions to everyday security issues affecting the wider college community.
We provide security advisory services and as fully qualified Security Surveyors we will identify the particular threats to your business, premises and staff, and advise you on how you can protect them.
